Of course you could also cover this with a credit card, which of course I also have, but that didn't work for a long time and Paypal was the only good payment option for many online retailers. My family and I all use Paypal. Yes, of course you also have your credit card on file, but you always pay with PayPal. Or if you send money within the family, nobody makes a complicated bank transfer. Paypal has a very simple but well-functioning buyer protection. This is an absolute guarantee of security when you pay somewhere. Credit cards can't compete with that - solving problems with credit card providers is very complicated and takes a long time.
