Merck acquires Verona Pharma for 10 billion dollars

Jul 09 (Reuters) - $MRK (-0.7%) Merck will buy Britain's Verona Pharma for about 10 billion dollars, the companies announced on Wednesday. The move strengthens the US company's presence in respiratory therapies as it prepares for the patent expiry of its blockbuster cancer drug.

I am currently building up Merck Co, in addition to Pfizer, Novo, Bristol, which I already own, and will make new highs in the future as the pipeline is strong.
