Just checking in again

Here’s a quick update on Trading212.

I opened the account on August 25. So far, I’m up 37.7%, which is actually pretty decent.

In the meantime, updating, selling, and rebalancing are all working quite well. Most recently, at the beginning of June, $RKLB (+0.25%) and $ONDS (+0.88%) were removed from the portfolio after 120% and 65% gains. New additions include $PLTR (-0.03%) and these, which aren’t shown here $MGNT (hope I linked to the right Magnite 😀)

The current portfolio looks like this. The goal remains clearly a return of more than 20% per annum. The strategy I’m following isn’t necessarily based on stubbornly chasing trades or FOMO buys, but rather on a mix of gut feeling, analysis, and conviction. I picked up World, so to speak, at the start of the new Pie during the dip in March.

Here are the current stats for my Pie after just under 3 months. My weekly savings rate in the Pie is currently €200.

Right now, 212 is running another promotion where you can get free shares worth up to 100€. If you’re not already with 212 and are interested, feel free to use my link.

Good job, 37% is impressive, what price you start adding palantir?
••

@emppsb Too high 😀 I actually expected the positive momentum to hold out a bit longer at the beginning of the month, so I was speculating on a gain of 8–10%. Now I'm down 16%, which isn't the end of the world. It'll bounce back up again.

@Hotte1909 yes I understand and yes 16% for a companie like $PLTR is not the end, I’m in the same position with $NOW I bought at 98 euro and now is 82, already 16% down too. I’m thinking of building a small position like the one I’ve on $NOW. Maybe $PLTR today’s price is not that bad to start, what you think?

@emppsb Long-term, Palantir is definitely a good buy at current levels. I haven't analyzed the chart in detail yet to identify entry points.

@Hotte1909 from what I’ve seen we are close to a big support, but I’m not an expert

As of yesterday, they're even offering 3.5% on idle funds👍
••
What do you have to do to get the free shares? I've only read that you have to transfer a minimum amount. I've been thinking about opening an account there for a while now.

@Wow Deposit 1€ (in theory)

@Hotte1909 Yeah. I'll open it in the next few days. 👍

Congratulations! Are you no longer convinced by $RKLB and $ONDS, since you've dropped them from your portfolio? They're still two of my biggest individual stock holdings.

I don't get why this millionaire is begging for spare change here 🤔

@Frei I’m not begging for spare change—I’m introducing Trading212 because many people aren’t familiar with it yet. I don’t rely on the gifts, but of course I’m happy to receive them—or do you think I wouldn’t pick up a 20€ bill on the street? If you don’t do it, that’s your business.
Last year, I sold all the stock gifts and donated the proceeds to the Balthasar Children’s Hospice—that came to about 250€ in total, just so you know what I do with the gifts.

Does “Pie” mean that you have a certain number of shares in it, and that a fixed amount “x” is contributed to it each month?
••
profile image
@Schneider Something like that. You can enter the weightings manually—let's say 50% World and 50% Telekom.
If World goes up and Telekom goes down, it adjusts automatically.
