WE WANT DIVIDENDS

Hello Getquin Community,

I would be interested to know: What are your top dividend stocks or which ones do you currently have on your watchlist that you would like to add to your portfolio?

My strongest stocks at the moment are definitely $HSBA (+0.85%) and $BATS (-1.42%) Both deliver solid dividend yields and are real classics in the dividend strategy sector.

I'll add a few more to the list - I'm looking forward to your additions:

$SREN (-0.37%)
$ZURN (+0.32%)
$MO (-1.99%)
$CVX (-0.41%)
$MAIN (+0.51%)
$O (-0.77%)

Good question! 😁 I'll give it a try...

I think you have to take into account how much risk you are willing to take and what proportion of the overall portfolio the position should make up.

Stocks with risk and div yield >15%
(cyclical, exotic - as an admixture):

$PETR4 - Petrobras, Oil+Gas, Brazil
$TRMD A - Torm, tanker fleet shipping company
$HAFNI - Hafnia, tanker fleet shipping company
(There are more shipping companies...)

Stocks with 6-8% dividend yield and manageable risk. (Mainly banks, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals)

$BATS - BritishAm.T. Cigarettes (UK)
$HSBA - HSBC, int. bank (UK)
$ING - ING, Bank (NL)
$PFE - Pfizer, Pharmaceuticals (USA)
$KHC - KraftHines, Food (USA)
$RIO - RioTinto, mining+raw materials (UK)
$VALE3 - Vale, commodities

Somewhat lower in yield are the ImmoREITS from the USA

$O - Reality Income
$WPC - WP Carey
... and of course some others from the REIT sector

I also find $JEGP interesting as an ETF.

I currently have my eye on $WHR, the dividend looks very good, but I'm not convinced by the share price at the moment

There are a series of stocks, mainly Resits and energy that deliver monthly dividends. You can create a nice reinvestment strategy on them and make the best of composite interest.

By the way I'm also looking for German stocks with good dividend and I'm not finding a lot. Maybe I'm targeting too high with >10% or even >15% yield but even if it's lower at least you don't have the foreign tax, but well for that there is a good guide on how to claim it...

@serkeftin Thats my strategy, what Stocks are you into?
The advantage of your shares is that you do not pay withholding tax. From this point of view, the British Rio Tinto $RIO may be interesting, in the energy sector BP $BP. or shell $SHELand in the telecommunications sector Vodafone $VOD.

@Helleone They are actually all exciting stocks, but I am worried about the downtrend in all of them🫣
@RenditeRudin well, Rio Tinto and Shell have been going almost sideways for 17 years. You are right about the other two, although BP could benefit from a possible takeover

@Rick Hey Rick, I've just had a look at your portfolio and your watchlist. There's a lot there that I've never heard of before. Exciting and unusual! I'll take a closer look at the stocks one by one.

@NichtRelevant looking forward to your feedback ;)
HSBC $HSBA is one of the best.
Recently, I have options with Kesko $KESKOB, Enagas $ENG, or Atresmedia $A3M, to give you some more ideas.

@Kspykee Gona check them out! Thanks for your Ideas!

Your two favorites are interesting simply because of the non-levied withholding tax. I also have both of them.

I'll throw $OMV $ALV $HAUTO and my new $BT.A into the ring

@realfundi Very nice! And I'll take a closer look at them🤝👍🏼

I am currently considering selling $STLAM at a loss and switching to $MAIN. I think they are much more constant and defensive.

@Max095 Not a bad idea, or perhaps 50% in $MAIN and 50% in $O?

$XYLD is a great ETF in my opinion for dividend income.

And how do you feel about banks? They bring both: trend and dividends. I am fully invested in most Italian banks: $BAMI $CE $BMPS $BPSO $BPE $UCG $BMED and also in some Spanish banks: $SAB $CABK $UNI. I think the performance of banks and many insurance companies was simply great last year!
$DBK and unfortunately sold $BCP in April, that was a clear mistake...
