Infineon raises sales target for new chip factory in Villach.

In the midst of the global chip crisis, the semiconductor group Infineon opens its newest plant in Villach, Austria, on Friday.

The factory was completed around three months ahead of schedule. When the factory is fully utilized in three to four years, an additional sales volume of around two billion euros per year can be expected, the Munich-based chip company announced on Friday. Previously, a turnover potential of 1.8 billion euros per year was announced.

What do you think of Infineon?

In the portfolio 🚀 Bringing semiconductor production to Europe can't be wrong. A good investment given current and future high demand.

Austria 🇦🇹🇦🇹🇦🇹, not in the portfolio, but you only hear good things about Infineon locally! They really only take the best and run a strict regime, definitely interesting

Unfortunately sold at 30.50 euros. Don't know whether it's still worth getting in

Do you think it's still worth getting in?
@Samet61 I ask myself the same question 😅

@sonnenbrille Would you otherwise have taken the one from Ishares if you didn't already have the VanEck?
profile image
@Renditeplus you have to know what you want... the VanEck just has fewer positions the iShares is more globally positioned 😅
profile image
@Nymeria I'm having a hard time choosing. VanEck has only 24 positions, Ishares over 200, and the latter still has a favorable price. However, it is still new

@Renditeplus Some are also of the opinion that if there are new sector ETFs, the sector itself is already relatively exhausted.... Personally, I still see great potential in this area and have taken a small position in iShare in my portfolio and am also saving VanEck 😅

@Nymeria I will add the semiconductor from Ishares to my portfolio. I only have one ETF in my portfolio
