Let the book value fluctuate. Only when you sell do you generate losses or profits. Look at the timeline of 3 or 5 years of your stocks and become a little more relaxed.
You don't need to worry about value stocks beyond hyped trends.

@ThomasHH The question can also be asked over a longer period of time: Does it affect your work ethic if you have portfolio fluctuations amounting to 20 years' income in one year, every year?

At some point, income becomes pretty irrelevant for your own capital. And then what?
