If the Orange continues like this and the economy slows down, the risk of loan defaults will increase. The hoped-for upturn in M&A will also not happen. If the Fed then gets carried away and lowers key interest rates, depending on inflation of course, this will also have an effect. Main is still one of the good companies, but rising debt levels, stagnating expected sales and earnings will still have an impact here. And don't misunderstand, I am generally positive about BDCs, of course also because of my dividend strategy. At the moment, however, I am sticking to my guns, no investment. Wait and see or be brave and get in. Everyone has to decide for themselves.
