No tax increases?

Well, if you leave the Ministry of Finance with €500 billion and the Ministry of Defense with unlimited billions of euros to the Socialists, you won't need any more tax increases.

So, dear net taxpayers, now buckle down for the next few decades, because the banks want Z I N S E N for the SPD's bragging. Totally surprising.

@user24790529394 Nonsense doesn't get any better if it is repeated over and over again.

@HpKlassik That's right, it's always the same regulars' table banter, even in a stock market forum.

The question is rather, what do they get instead 🤔

@TotallyLost apparently the Ministry of Finance and Defense😅 no tax increases with an SPD finance minister but I can hardly imagine😂

@stefan_21 Defense makes sense, as Armin Laschet has worked his way into it well over the last few years.

@TotallyLost I thought Boris Laschet. Or Armin Pistorius? Nobody can see through that anymore. :D

@SchlaubiSchlumpf Before I get love from Merz, I'd rather go away empty-handed. 🤣

@TotallyLost I could also think of other people and parties. 🤔
Especially from the parties with a higher proportion of women

@TotallyLost My assessment is that it simply won't go under. But it will be uncomfortable. Such a customs situation will settle down. Tariffs could be used as revenue to reduce taxes. Trade relations will shift to more favorable countries. But it all takes time. And until then it hurts. I just don't think anyone will really win.

@SchlaubiSchlumpf I wrote this elsewhere earlier today, but here's my bull case:
Trump will roll back the tariffs OR he will lose his majority in the 2026 midterms and get nothing through the Senate.
Everything will then be reversed by 2028 at the latest.

I don't think the citizens will swallow the higher prices. Don't forget that DJT was elected to bring down inflation.

Or to put it another way:
It's the economy, stupid
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_the_economy,_stupid

In any case, I'm curious to see how the Americans will react to a 20% inflation shock, especially if they can't find a new scapegoat to blame it on...

@TotallyLost Can the Americans throw out the president by a vote of no confidence? I'm asking for a friend in case even the Republicans get fed up at some point.

The man has sold his honor and your word to become chancellor, he has been trying for 12 years and will do it at any price.

I see the next drop around 1500

@Brixxi13 He now wants to put right the bruised ego that Angela has triggered, whatever the cost - the CDU's price is a piece of cake.

@Brixxi13 Merkel already knew why she wanted him gone

As it stands, there is no new tax or abolition of the annual deadline🥳

@sc1 Yep, not for now🥳
But I don't feel quite so comfortable because the SPD is getting the Ministry of Finance... I could well imagine that this will come up again in the next few years - even without it being in the coalition agreement. But for now we can relax.
Otherwise Firefish would have become my best friend😂

@stefan_21 Perhaps the government could simply take care of the real problems and thus not go completely under at the next election. But let's wait and see😅
