Energiekontor sells Scottish wind farm project to Uniper

Bremen, June 10, 2025 - Energiekontor AG ("Energiekontor"), listed in the General Standard $EKT (+1.06%) Energiekontor AG ("Energiekontor"), one of the leading German project developers and operators of wind and solar parks based in Bremen, has sold a Scottish wind farm project to the global energy supplier Uniper.

The onshore wind farm project sold is a project in the south-west of Scotland. The buyer of the project is Uniper UK, a subsidiary of the Düsseldorf-based global energy company Uniper. The wind farm will have a total generation capacity of around 46 megawatts. A total of seven Nordex N163 wind turbines are planned for the site. The individual turbines each have a maximum total height of 200 meters and a rotor diameter of 163 meters. The average expected annual yield of the wind farm from the first full year of operation is around 158 gigawatt hours - enough to supply more than 66,000 average households with renewable electricity. From commissioning, it will benefit from Energiekontor's many years of operational management experience and optimization support.

In October 2023, Energiekontor had already successfully participated with the project in the fifth tender round of the British Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) for the allocation of a Contract for Difference (CFD) and was awarded an inflation-indexed feed-in tariff, from which the wind farm will benefit from commissioning.

"We are delighted to have successfully brought this first joint project with Uniper to this important milestone. This project makes a further important contribution to the expansion of renewable energy in the UK. With the sale of the project, we can now enter the realization phase with Uniper," said Peter Szabo, CEO of Energiekontor

AG.
