🚀 Rocket Lab on the Verge of Its Next Major Milestone—Can SpaceX Still Derail the Iridium Deal?

At Rocket Lab ($RKLB (+0.2%)
) the planned $8 billion deal with Iridium ($IRDM (-0.12%)
) is creating new excitement. Of all companies, SpaceX ($SPCX (+2.06%) ) has filed a request with the U.S. regulatory agency, the FCC, to review the acquisition process.

🛰️ Why is the deal so important?

With this acquisition, Rocket Lab would massively expand its business:

🚀 Rockets

🛰️ Satellites

📡 Global communications infrastructure

This could position Rocket Lab even more firmly as a vertically integrated space company .

⚔️ Is SpaceX a stumbling block?

SpaceX’s objection does does not automatically spell the end of the acquisition, but it could delay the process and trigger additional regulatory reviews.

For Rocket Lab, this comes at a critical time: At the same time, the company continues to work on Neutron and is securing major contracts from the defense sector.

🧠 Conclusion

The Iridium deal would be a huge strategic move for Rocket Lab. Now, however, attention is focused on the regulatory review and the upcoming shareholder vote.

My question for you:

How do you feel about all of this?

I, for one, remain invested and am still confident in Rocket Lab’s business 🚀

I’m considering the possibility that $SPCX (+2.06%)
$RKLB (+0.2%) perceives Rocket Lab as a serious competitor and is now trying to throw a wrench in the works.

I'm going to share a very personal opinion here. $RKLB will outperform $SPCX over the next 12 months.

@Multibagger what’s your range to buy? Is 50-55e a good entry for you?

I think $60 would be a great introductory price.

@Multibagger I already opened a position a few minutes ago; the next buy will probably be just under $60🤝🚀

@Multibagger If support holds there, then yes; otherwise, no. In that case, it will likely be just under $50.

My patience with $RKLB has almost worn out. I went from +400% to +117%. For my mental sanity, I don't want to take on so much volatility. The moment it crosses 100 again, I am fully out.

But the price hasn't been moving in the right direction over the past few weeks 😅

Don't you think AST would be a good place to start right now?

Why betting on 1 company, and not a space ETF?

It just goes to show once again how pathetic Elon Musk is…

@PikaPika0105 From a strategic perspective, that’s probably what any company would do. Would you do things differently if your focus were on profit?

@HoldTheMike Anyone would probably try to hold back the competition, but of course, in doing so, they also reveal their own insecurity, which makes their own assessment seem even more questionable.

@PikaPika0105 SpaceX's valuation is inflated anyway. This raises the question for me: If SpaceX were to crash at some point, would it drag RKLB down with it, or would RKLB actually shine precisely because of that? I can't say.
