Dividend stocks on the winning side

$TDIV (+0.16%)

Hello my dears, I would like to add to Andreas' great article.

It is the tech and growth stocks that have dragged the S&P down so much.

You can clearly see from the dividend ETF that it has generated a similar performance YTD to the Euro Stoxx. Despite 30% USA share.

Nevertheless, my assessment would be that the tide can turn again quickly.

And we will see tech and growth stocks back in the lead at the end of the year.

What is your assessment here, are you shifting into dividend stocks and European stocks?

I am currently building up this ETF as a second core in my portfolio alongside $FGEQ.

Hello dear, I've had it on my watch for a while now because I like the performance/dividend yield ratio. And as you can see, it is an ideal investment in turbulent times. Which will continue under the Orange Man

It might also be a good idea to include the ETF in a small position in your portfolio. And shift more and more into the ETF as you get older

@Tenbagger2024 that would be a good option. I also plan to hold at least 60% of my invested sum in ETFs. You save a lot of time and are broadly diversified. In addition, you don't need to sell any shares later, and the dividend growth should not be underestimated either :)

@Max095
That's true. I just like to look at individual companies and I often get so excited that I have to invest. As I have a lot of growth stocks, things have unfortunately not gone so well this year. That's why this ETF would be ideal as an addition

@Tenbagger2024 You're certainly not doing anything wrong. Especially in the long term. Things aren't going well for me this year either.

@Max095 Well, the year is still at the beginning. The correction was healthy. That provides momentum for a rally

@Tenbagger2024 Exactly! I hope things pick up again, especially with tech stocks and in the crypto sector

AI will not disappear and is only just beginning. The same goes for robotics and autonomous driving. Everything should continue to inspire tech

@Tenbagger2024 You're right. There's no getting around progress

Yes, my dividend portfolio is well up. The only thing that dragged me down a bit was when I "took the plunge" and bought tech stocks, which then fell much further.

@CashflowG certainly not a problem in the long term. I am also heavily in the red with some stocks. $AMD $SQ $MARA $STLAM I have also fallen into the falling knife

Yes, that's how I felt too. I bought Nvidia and Microstrategy and then they just fell.

have both $EXSA and $TDIV in my portfolio for precisely these reasons. There are always market phases for tech / US as well as for divi stocks or Europe. I've done well with them so far.

@WarrenamBuffet
You did a good job. It should certainly have had a very positive impact on your portfolio.

Due to the tech-heavy nature of the US indices, the performance of the European indices is lagging well behind the US. There is certainly still catch-up potential here. However, due to the turbulence in the US and the potential in European stocks, I am not consciously reallocating. I will continue to hold US stocks that are doing well and will buy more if further opportunities arise here. The USA is simply the biggest market. On the other hand, I have added what I consider to be good companies from Europe to my portfolio. For example, the infrastructure group Vinci from France. I will not be adding a European ETF to my portfolio.

Yes I am, my portfolio is 41% america, 26% europe and 12% emerging markets. But I plan to put europe as number 1 and sell all S&P 500 ETF. America is overvalued but I will pick stocks that are undervalued like Uber and Google. TDIV and World position I keep increasing.

I've had it in my portfolio since the end of January. Already up almost 8% since then 😉

@Hotte1909
I think I will also include this as a small addition. Especially in the stormy times of the Orange Potus

Exactly what I was thinking of. Increasing $TDIV. It is compensating losses nicely when US and tech are doing bad and dragging down alle major indexes, this ETF usually does the opposite. Only thing that makes me doubt the decision is timing. You never know how long the downward trend is going to be.

I also added it to my portfolio in January and bought 500 units. it has done well recently. A nice pensioner ETF. Unfortunately far too little in relation to the overall portfolio.
But I won't be shifting anything, it will only cost me taxes.

I think $TDIV is a great second core in my portfolio. Building it up since August 2024 and up 13.5% excluding the dividends.

It only really started growing this year, in conjunction with the correction of my $BTC and $IWDA positions. 😁

Only positive vibes with the ETF in my portfolio

But the performance of this ETF is really low 😳 and the dividend isn't that special either...
Am I missing something, or why do I buy this thing?

Edit: bullshit comment

@Nobody_123 11% average return per year + dividend growth, what's low about that?

@Max095 You're right! I only glanced at the chart and also thought that the DIV was puny.

I've just taken a closer look and it's actually the best ETF of the alternatives suggested on JustETF.
Even with alternatives like the World ETF and S&P, it holds up really well in comparison 😳

So sorry...
