To counter the prejudice of some people here that I'm just a conservative doubter.

Entry with 3000€ into the Wisdomtree Altcoin ETF. Buy price 2.40; stoploss 2.12; target price 3.07.

The idea behind it:

1. BTC is currently rising significantly, altcoins often follow a few days later. The speculation already worked out at the turn of the year.

2. the most important altcoins (Cardano, Solana) have broken out of their consolidation patterns. So did the ETF.

3. the hype at the turn of the year has subsided somewhat, so that sentiment is back to normal. If the FOMO starts again here, I will get out again. Thank you, dear GQ community, for these small trading profits!

Because: I don't think much of altcoins as a long-term investment, they are all doomed. But as my stock market idol George Soros said: when I see a bubble forming, I get in.

PS: The ETF cannot be entered via transactions like some other ETFs from WisdomTree, please fix this. @Kundenservice

I recently switched to $WBIT (GB00BJYDH287) because of the low fees. I was also unable to add it to the portfolio manually via transactions. The PDF import, on the other hand, worked without any problems.

@JustinDotCC Thanks for the hint, I'll give it a try.
Edit: The pdf cannot be parsed. 🤷
@Epi Which broker did you buy it from? I bought it through DKB and it worked with the PDF format.

The Coinbase share would also lend itself to this speculation. The earnings are on February 15, 2020 and I would bet that good figures and a good outlook will be presented and the share will make + 15-20% accordingly

@Krush82 Maybe. But the company risk is too high for me. The same applies to individual coins, which would also be cheaper to trade. Above all, I am betting on the typical catch-up effect of altcoins as an asset class without having to deal with the details in too much detail.

@Epi But isn't that only a short-term investment anyway, or how long is your investment period?

@Krush82 Yes, the investment is probably only short-term, see target and stop price. But my idea is based on the correlation between different asset classes and their cycles. This only has a very indirect connection with individual shares and individual coins.

I've often had the right basic instinct in the past, but bad luck with individual stocks. For example, in 2010 with smartphones, I bet on Blackberry and Nokia instead of Apple and Samsung. That's when I became humble.

Exciting, an altcoins ETF? I honestly didn't know 🤔
