Hello my dears,

I would like to inform you, also in between, about the products and orders of some companies. I hope you don't see it as spam and are happy about new products and information.

Otherwise, please let me know in the comments.

The Portuguese Air Force (FAP) will be the launch customer for the NATO standard Embraer A-29N Super Tucano. The first delivery of the light combat aircraft is planned for this year. The aircraft on display at the Paris Air Show is also attracting great interest from European armed forces and trade visitors.

The Embraer EMB 314 Super Tucano - also known as the ALX or A-29 - is a light counterinsurgency (COIN) and close air support (CAS) aircraft from the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer. There are now a large number of variants and user states. Among others, the A-29 is used by the American special forces. It is available as a single and two-seater.

At the Paris Air Show, the Super Tucano will be shown as a two-seater. It can then also be used as a training aircraft, especially as preparation for pilots of the latest generation of jets. As a two-seater, however, the pilot's workload can also be reduced by using the rear seat to accommodate the weapons officer, who then operates the EO/IR reconnaissance pod as well as the laser rangefinder and designator.

The A-29 has a length of 11.38 m and a wingspan of 11.14 m. In the armed version, two .50 BMG machine guns are installed in the wings, plus a total of five hardpoints for mounting additional pods or weapons.

According to the manufacturer, the following weapons are already integrated in the Super Tucano: SUU-25 flare launcher, a 7-launcher for 70 mm rockets, the 500 lb MK-84 bomb, the 250 lb MK-81 and GBU-58 LGB bonbons, 750 lb M-117 GP bomb, covention and laser-guided APKWS missiles, 500 lb GBU-12 LGB / GRIFFIN LGB / LIZARD IV INS/GPS bombs, SUU-20 training bomb dispenser, 320 liter auxiliary tank, a logistic pod for resupplying troops on the ground and an EO/IR HD sensor and designator under the nose (e.g. MX-10/15 from L3Harris.

According to unconfirmed information, several European special forces are very interested in such a light attack aircraft or a comparable model. Including Germany.
