I would just like to show the community what my sale at the time $COST (-0.14%) sale went into.

In hindsight, I would do it again at any time.

The good piece was rented almost continuously for the last 3 weeks at 60€ per day.

This weekend I'm going to do a bit of work in the garden myself 🏗 or remove an unnecessary strip of grass from the barn.

@femkelbn A good friend of mine also has the 2.7T, as he does landscaping work.
When I picked up my little one, he drove past me with his excavator.
You have to show who has the bigger one...

Incidentally, Kubota also sells its diesel engines to no-name excavator manufacturers.
The little one already has power for its size

I have seen that they will grow again over the next few years. Maybe the share price should turn around soon. Great valuation and perhaps an alternative to Deere and Caterpillar.

How exactly do you rent out the excavator? On which side and when do you think it armotized?

With 135 rental days it would be paid for.
After that, I would only need around 15 rental days a year to cover the cost of possible spare parts such as chains and hydraulic hoses.

@Ash I do the maintenance and repairs myself, in case something comes up.
The biggest issue would be a broken chain, as they are only made of rubber.
It runs on a naturally aspirated diesel engine which is very easy to maintain.

There are people who buy a demolition hammer to go with the mini excavator, but they then have higher costs, as the forces acting on the excavator during concrete work are completely different.

I only add 3 buckets, which is enough for most people.

Yes, it's seasonal, in winter you can't dig up frozen ground with it, after all it's only 1.9 tons :)
You need something over 20 tons

@Ash and you have to mention that there are people who buy a car especially to bring it to the customer.
It's 1.9T + trailer, so you're up to 2.5T towing capacity.
I just have it on the trailer and people have to pick it up themselves.

Otherwise you would have to include that in the calculation.

How have you set yourself up fiscally for this and how much time do you spend on customer contact, repairs etc.? :)
Always cool to see side hustles like this. But the issue of tax and time is still holding me back.
