My reading list for 2022 and outlook for 2023

As I wrote in my post last year, it can be helpful to leave the stock market alone in stormy times and read a good book instead.

Well, said and done.

I don't think I personally have ever read as many books as I did last year. This is not meant to be a competition. It's not about reading for the sake of reading. Or about emulating influencers who read three books after their morning cold shower and their 10 km run.

No, it's about the pleasure of reading and the joy of learning. That's why I mainly read non-fiction books.

👀Wow! I'm always impressive when someone can read so much!!! Me triggerts already from the first pages, when I know that I still have 255 pages ahead of me 😵‍💫. Audiobooks rather, thanks for the suggestions, I'll listen purely.

@FrauManu Constant dripping wears away the stone. Actually, it's like investing: Page by page, chapter by chapter. During the week I always try to read about 10 pages before I start working. That's a good amount.

Is 1984 good as an audio book? I've started the book 3 times, but the writing style just drives me crazy.

Unbelievable! With so much reading we have only one overlap!;-) You don't think Peter Lynch's book is that good?! I found it educational and fun. Okay a little stale, but that has just the charm😜

@GordonGekko83 I think I had somewhat too high expectations. The more aha effects a book has for me, the better I find it. 🤓

@Howsy I remember 3 books in particular that were really good. I have the one in mind, which was very brilliant. Can't find it right now unfortunately. 🙈

@GordonGekko83 look for them, I would be interested!

👍 sure I do

Horst Lüning the old Whisky Süffler. Funny, because I knew him first from his whole WhiskyTastings on Youtube and his WhiskyShop 😂

@Fabzy yes so it was with me too. But now I only occasionally watch his UBLOG videos.
profile image
Don't you have a goodreads account?
1
profile image
@Koenigmidas No, should I?
profile image
@Howsy should not but you could. For example, I read a lot and am a bookworm and have most of the financial books tagged under financial independence so that I find them faster 😉
profile image
@Koenigmidas ah, ok. So an app to organize the books? I'm always writing and highlighting like crazy in the books ✍🏻

@Howsy There you can read and review books. Engage with the author and community. Or just record all the books you've read online and create digital bookshelves. Or create a reading goal for the year 2023. In my profile text I have linked to my profile
