Let's keep going :)

I got paid for my side job, and with what was left over, I bought a few new things.

First, I expanded my precious metals collection. Three beautiful new coins. I now have 5 troy ounces of silver.

Plus, I spent 100€ at McDonald’s.

Personally, I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished.

Have a great weekend, and here’s to successful investments for all of you! 🎉💪🏻

A question about the coins. Why physical coins? Is this a form of emergency currency for you in case everything collapses, or do you plan to sell them again?

Actually, both. So, if everything goes down the drain, or if I just end up selling them again in 20 to 30 years. Besides, I think they're prettier than plain bars.

@Part_Time_Joe Nothing's going to go down the drain here.

@He-Man I don't think so either. But still, gold or silver is never a bad choice. I'm more of a Team Gold person, but hey... in the end, it probably doesn't make much of a difference 😉

@Part_Time_Joe I actually think a mix of both works quite well when viewed as a potential crisis precaution.
Gold as a highly concentrated asset that, if things get dicey, you can take with you relatively easily if necessary. Silver as a means of payment and exchange for everyday necessities, in case banks close or the currency collapses.

Do I believe we’ll ever see that happen? No. And I truly hope we never do.

You can be proud of that, too!

I prefer Maple Leafs and Britannias :)
But I also buy one silver Krugerrand a year :)

I get it. I already have two Maple Leafs, too. Personally, I like a little variety, so I decided to go with these three today. Sometimes you just want to take a look at the coins, after all 😂

@IsaiGM Troll comment. In Germany, we say, "Even a little bit can still be a mess."

@IsaiGM everybody is doing his best according to his means.

Too expensive. Come back later.

I think mcd will drop back down to €200. This week's outcome hinges on a resistance level. I don't think it'll break through 😬
••

@1Chrischi1 Another 200 USD or EUR?
They haven't been there for the past 5 years!
If that were the case, it would be bearish, and the price would drop another 15–30%.
It stabilized at 205/210

euros. As I wrote :)
Of course, the Qs could give the price a boost next week, but I just don't think we'll break through the resistance and head back toward around 200–205 euros for now…

That's just my theory. Of course, things could turn out completely differently :)

Great timing on the silver!

I've given a lot of thought to buying physical silver as well. But the idea of having to pay sales tax and having to wait for the price of silver to rise by a certain percentage to reach the break-even point still puts me off. How do you deal with that?

Since my investment horizon is 25 years or more, I’m actually not all that interested in the 19%. Because—purely hypothetically—if I were to make 10x or 10.5x my investment in 25 years, that doesn’t bother me personally. You can also buy used silver. That’s subject to margin tax, which means the so-called “fairy tale tax” doesn’t apply.
