Castell fund now on course

$KVDFV7 After many months without a price update, the security is now recognized and entered accordingly by getquin in the portfolio statement.

Very nice - I thought this might never be implemented due to the small fund volume.

how satisfied are you with the fund? i also have a custody account with castell and am thinking about setting up a savings plan 🙈

@ynnxs Really? At Castell? I've never come across anyone who is also with CastellBank - I would have least suspected it with Getquin!

The Castell fund is "the dynamic one" - there are also various more defensive products from Castell. I'm happy with the fund, although a world ETF would probably do as well.

In my case, I consider Castell to be my real "house bank", as I can speak directly to someone here and not some algorithm or back office in some remote head office or credit department. I'm mainly a real estate investor and it's good to have a product from your own bank in your portfolio. That's actually the main reason why the fund is in my portfolio. Apart from that, I don't think the performance is bad. Of course, it's not a "Rocket Lab" or similar, but it's (hopefully) not quite as speculative. 😊

@NichtRelevant Yes, exactly with Castell Bank. I use the account for young people there, so I haven't paid any monthly fees yet. I'm currently in the process of switching completely so that Castell will also become my main bank. I also appreciate the advantages you mentioned.

Of course, the fees are quite high and not every product the advisor recommends really makes sense. I just wanted to try out the fund, but the costs are a bit too high for me. The annual costs don't bother me that much, but a €4.90 order fee is quite high for a savings plan. It's not really worth it, so I'll probably wait until my savings rate for the fund is high enough 🙈

I find the composition of the fund particularly interesting. For me, such products are less about outperformance and more about lower fluctuations. I usually tend to have ETFs in my portfolio because funds are very expensive. So far I only have the Oriental Income fund from Allianz Global Investors ( $XPCNL6 ). In Asia, I assume that professional, active investing performs better than passive ETFs because the market there is more inefficient and the information advantage is therefore more effective. So far, the fund has also performed better than an EM ETF.
