@Helleone ok, woodsford is a litigation funder. There are a few shareholders who have filed a lawsuit in London against BAT for illegal tobacco sales to North Korea. There was a US sanctions proceeding. This was formally terminated after a payment in the three-digit range. The aim here is probably to obtain compensation for share price losses. And the more people who participate, the more interesting it could be for the litigation funder if the case is successful, as they will be paid proportionately.

•@Dividendenopi Thank you, does this make sense with around 100 shares or is it not worth the effort?

@Helleone I can't tell you that, I don't know the content of the lawsuit. As is so often the case in such cases, the claim is probably for damages due to price losses. It is then a matter of the performance that you may have lost over a period of time to be defined. In the case of your 100 shares, this is a manageable sum that does not do justice to the effort involved and the uncertain outcome over a potentially years-long process. And if you are successful, the litigation funder will also get its share. I have a few more shares in $BATS than you do and will not be joining the lawsuit under any circumstances
