SAS orders 45 Embraer E195-E2

$ERJ (-3.96%)

The Skyteam member has ordered 45 E195-E2s from Embraer. At the same time, it has secured purchase rights for ten additional aircraft. This is SAS's largest direct order from an aircraft manufacturer since 1996. Delivery of the first E2 jets is scheduled to begin at the end of 2027 and will take around four years.

SAS intends to use the order to modernize its fleet, increase operational efficiency and reduce emissions. The E195-E2s are intended in particular to strengthen the Copenhagen hub as well as the Scandinavian and international route network.

How do you see the huge new tariffs on Brazilian products? Are companies in the USA the main buyers? Maybe I'll be able to get something cheaper after all. This is also one of my unrealized watchlist candidates.

If you look at my Embraer post. Some European NATO countries have ordered the cargo aircraft. There was a major order from a US airline. But you also know the back and forth 🍊. In the end, there will be exceptions again. At the moment, I just see the whole thing as a short-term thunderstorm.

On the other hand, Embraer still produces short-haul aircraft, which are in demand in the USA due to their efficiency. A good question is to what extent Embraer can compensate for this. And when there will be a deal.
