@Multibagger yo. I'm not a fan of the SPD. For me, it's now just as unelectable as the AfD. But I think the proposal is good. Relieve the burden on earned income, but burden traditional inheritance assets. Currently, everyone who inherits is king. They may work part-time and make a lazy living without contributing anything to society.
If the regulation is implemented well (which I doubt), it will not place an additional burden on savers, as they will have to pay lower taxes on their income and can therefore offset the higher taxes on capital income, etc. Those who are worse off are those who could participate in society but do not. And I think that's perfectly okay.
PS: Yes, I will inherit real estate at some point and have a significant deposit.
@DonkeyInvestor That's the way it is, people want a reasonable quality of healthcare system with increasing costs and stinking contributions... But nobody wants to pay for it.
Someone will have to pay, so why not those who have the most? 🙄
Or we could just let all the poor old sick people die ... But somehow neither party is considering this option. 😅
