Today I would like to introduce you to a cryptocurrency in which I have recently invested.

We are talking about Injective Protocol
$INJ (-6.01%) . This may still be relatively unknown to most people here.

My entry price: 15,61€

Current price: 34,38€

Holding period so far: approx. 2 weeks

How did I find out about the project?

By chance, actually. I was browsing through the AI projects on Crypto.com and then got stuck on Injective Protocol and thought it was a really good idea.

What is Injective Protocol?

Injective Protocol is an advanced financial platformthat is based on blockchain technology based on blockchain technology. It is a decentralized platform based on the Ethereum blockchain and enables users to access and trade on various financial markets without being controlled by a central authority.

The main features of the Injective Protocol are:

1. DecentralizationUnlike traditional exchanges, which are controlled by a central organization, Injective is decentralized. Injective is decentralized. This means that no single party has control over the platform, reducing censorship and third party risks.

2. InteroperabilityInjective Protocol enables trading across different blockchains. This gives users access to a wide range of assets, including cryptocurrencies, derivatives and other financial instruments.

3. Speed and low feesBecause it is based on the Ethereum blockchain and uses layer 2 solutions, Injective Injective offers fast transaction speeds and low fees. Here I must note that it is significantly faster and cheaper than Bitcoin or Ethereum. The transaction fees are less than 0.01 dollars. Over 420 million transactions have already been carried out via the blockchain.

4. Access to a variety of marketsUsers can trade on traditional financial instruments such as stocks, commodities and forex as well as cryptocurrencies and derivative products.

5. Creation of own marketsUsers can create their own markets on the platform. This opens up the possibility to create and trade unique financial products.

6. Co-creation by token holdersOwners of INJ tokens, the native currency of the Injective Protocol, can vote on the development and changes to the platform.

7. SecurityAs a blockchain-based platform, Injective benefits from the security features of blockchain technology, including immutability and transparency.

8. Staking: You also have the option of staking the in-house token with a current current interest rate of 15.84%.

9. FurtherThe platform offers many Web3 applications and connections. The platform can also be easily connected via MetaMask and other wallets.

My opinion: From my point of view, this project has great potential and if you look at the rush on X (Twitter) and co., I'm probably not the only one who holds this opinion. I am particularly impressed by the simplicity of the platform, the low costs and the speed. So far, I am not aware of any comparable project. In any case, I will hold on for now and not sell and even buy more if necessary.

I would be interested to hear your opinion.

Important! This is not investment advice!

Pump & dump or buy & hold?
How do you define decentralization?
What similar coins/projects are there and what is the USP?
How does interoperability work outside the Ethereum blockchain?

@DonkeyInvestor For me, buy & hold. The USP lies in the speed and simplicity. The simple connection to various Web 3 applications and the intuitive interface set the project apart from others in my opinion. As far as transaction costs are concerned, I don't know of a cheaper project. I attribute the decentralization to the fact that the users vote on the further development of the project and it represents a financial system that is detached from banks. https://hub.injective.network

@DonkeyInvestor Something else I forgot. Through an auction process, 60% of all exchange fees are burned every week, leading to a shortage.

@Noel Thank you. No offense, but this is far from "unique". It may go well, but it probably won't in the long run. Would recommend you take profits in time. Good luck 👍

@DonkeyInvestor Thank you ☺. Yes, you're right that it may not go well, but I'm not aware of any comparable project so far and I'm not in it with too large a sum anyway, as I don't go over 10% on crypto. Do you know of any comparable projects?

@Noel It feels like there are now millions of coins. There are certainly some that can do the same thing. I'm no longer up to date. Your coin already has quite a high market capitalization. That could mean that it's particularly good or that it's particularly hot.

Decentralization is the be-all and end-all for everything in the long term. Speed, low fees, complex features, ... are worth nothing without true decentralization, as all of this can be implemented more easily and efficiently in a centralized manner. Decentralization involves many things. Among other things, the network, the distribution of coins, who works on the code, ... This is difficult to measure and even more difficult to achieve.

But today was the unlock of 3.6 million tokens, won't that lead to dilution?
Idk if you can call it investing. 99.9% of coins disappear into the irrelevants. If you look at the top coins of the cycle before last, such as NEM and co, there wasn't much left of them in the last one. This also applies to large coins such as XRP or iota, which had top positions in the market at the time. Pure pump and dump and with almost all coins absolutely nothing behind it. You can of course speculate with whatever you want, but if you want to invest for the long term, buy bitcoin. The comparison above is also very flawed. There is a blockchain trilemma for a reason - it is the basic law of nature that a coin cannot be decentralized, scalable and secure at the same time. Bitcoin is maximally secure and maximally decentralized, the scaling limps for it and that is also intentional because it is not possible otherwise.
