Hello dear people, I am trying to #scalablecapital to sell the Orion Office share ( $ONL (-1.02%) ) to sell. I got it at a Realty Income ( $O (+1.37%) ) spin off.

However, my sales folder keeps getting rejected. 🤔

Have you ever had something like this?

I don't enter a stop or a limit, I just want to get rid of the shares. Scalable Capital hasn't given a reason, but I haven't contacted support yet either.

Perhaps one of you has some experience.

Have a look at the stock exchange where scalabel trades to see if it is tradable there, if not then you can only transfer the share to another securities account and sell it there

At the time of the spin-off by Reality, the shares were allocated via the American stock exchange. So you can only sell via the American stock exchange. Of course, this costs a few euros more in fees.

I also have this deposit with the Austrian savings bank. I can't sell it either, because ... Currently no trading place can be found.

I transferred the shares to my ING custody account at the time and sold them there .... that worked.... but it already happened in October 2022 🙂👍🏻

You can have them derecognized as worthless at Scalable via Baader Bank. This loss will be certified in the tax certificate for 2024.
Advantage (at least for me): the loss can also be offset against ETF profits and interest payments.
