Die Raiffeisen Bank International ($RBI ) hat die Berichte über angebliche Sanktionsdrohungen des US-Finanzministeriums als falsch zurückgewiesen. Ein Sprecher der Bank betonte, dass die RBI ein umfangreiches und robustes Compliance-Monitoring habe und sich selbstverständlich an alle anwendbaren Sanktionen halte. In der vergangenen Woche erhielt die RBI Besuch von Anna Morris, einer hochrangigen Mitarbeiterin des US-Finanzministeriums. Im Vorfeld hatte die US-Botschaft in Wien erklärt, dass die US-Behörde bei diesem Treffen auch die Befugnisse einer neuen Sanktionsbehörde erörtern wolle. Diese Behörde könnte Banken, die zur Finanzierung des russischen Militärs beitragen, vom US-Finanzsystem abschneiden. Zusätzlich wurde die RBI von der ukrainischen Nationalen Agentur für Korruptionsprävention (NACP) auf ihre schwarze Liste der internationalen "Sponsoren des Krieges" gesetzt. Die Bank äußerte den Wunsch, den Dialog mit der NACP fortzusetzen, um von dieser Liste gestrichen zu werden.

Raiffeisen Bank International ($RBI (+0.85%) ) has rejected the reports of alleged sanction threats by the US Treasury Department as false. A spokesperson for the bank emphasized that RBI has a comprehensive and robust compliance monitoring system and naturally adheres to all applicable sanctions.

Last week, the RBI received a visit from Anna Morris, a high-ranking employee of the US Treasury Department. The US embassy in Vienna had stated in advance that the US authorities also wanted to discuss the powers of a new sanctions authority at this meeting. This authority could cut off banks that contribute to the financing of the Russian military from the US financial system.

In addition, the RBI was placed on the Ukrainian National Agency for Corruption Prevention's (NACP) blacklist of international "sponsors of war". The bank expressed its wish to continue the dialog with the NACP in order to be removed from this list.

It's Russia's own fault. Attacks Ukraine, threatens with a nuclear bomb as usual and military production is running at full speed. Of course the consequence = isolation + sanctions. Who wants to have such an aggressive neighbor? NATO and Ukraine have definitely not planned to attack Russia, as you can see from the resources.

You're right golden mean ❤️ yes Ukraine needs positive change in terms of corruption, it just doesn't happen overnight. But Russia is much more corrupt...
