What is a basic supplement?

It is either my basic investment in the portfolio, also known as the core. Or as a supplement, such as satellites. But I would be interested to know what that combination is.

@Dividenden-Sammler You are well on track - it should become the "core", but not in my large US portfolio, but in my small CH portfolio. Therefore a pure addition.
