Early contact with money for the next generation 💸👶

I want to teach my children how money works at an early age, and as a little incentive I plan to give them a few shares. 💎📈 The choices are $BRK.A (-1.56%) - a classic with substance - or $LISN (-1.49%) for something sweet in the portfolio. 🍫 How do you handle this? Do you use savings accounts, ETFs or similar gifts to make it easier for your kids to get started? 💡 Let's exchange ideas! #KinderUndFinanzen

A share with a non-cash benefit (e.g. Züri Zoo or Swatch) so that they learn that there is an ROI.

Plus cheap shares in their hobbies such as Disney etc.

What could be nicer than a sweet Christmas with $LISN 🧑‍🎄 I like the approach, as a newcomer to the stock market I unfortunately don't bake such big cakes yet, so unfortunately it's not enough for LISN. But I also want to give the little ones something for the future this year, which is why I'm giving them their first ETF savings plan to go with their chocolate 👏 Constant dripping wears away the stone! Until they're both 18, they might get their driver's license from the portfolio 💸

@Wolf_of_Heilbronn That sounds like a really nice approach - starting early is worth its weight in gold! 👏 But remember: an ETF portfolio usually only pays out those who have not done well elsewhere. 😉 With a long-term strategy, an ETF can of course also grow, but who knows, maybe there will be room for a few individual stocks à la $LISN at some point. 🍫💸 Constant dripping and all that! #ZukunftSichern #AufLock

I think the direction is good with the shares but not the amount.

Dear good Santa, buy what you can buy. Shop, shop, shop, but don't burn your fingers.

Btw. I think you want to buy a percentage of Berkshire or Lindt, don't you?

Of course, they have to be some of the most expensive shares so that the learning effect is really big. Sure, who doesn't give away a brk.a or Lindt to play with....es suddenly smells a lot like 💩

@Cype Ah, finally someone who has recognized the real problem: lack of high value in learning objects. 😅 But hey, if it smells like 💩, it could be the smell of fear - fear of great opportunities. 😉 Everyone starts where they can. I give away inspiration, and if that's $BRK.A or Lindt shares, so be it. 😎 #LockerBleiben #FinanzbildungMitSubstanz #AufLock

@Cype I don't think that the gentleman will write the login to the broker directly on the Christmas card for the little ones, perhaps he will observe and manage the portfolio together with the offspring. This not only builds something for the future but also imparts knowledge.

In view of inheritance tax, I think what is being done here is more than good, doing something for the children's future at an early age and thus making better use of the legal framework!

It smells more like common sense and sustainability than 💩 Wealth is best built up over generations 💸📈

@agdienmogul That's right, the increased learning effect and the expected return with brk.a compared to brk.b is of course astronomically high #AufLock

@Wolf_of_Heilbronn Thanks for the perspective - that hits the nail on the head! 🙌 Imparting knowledge is the real core, and starting early with a portfolio can influence generations.

Inheritance tax is of course an important factor. In Germany, the 10-year allowance of 400k per child is unfortunately limited, but any opportunity to use this legally is a step towards financial security and sustainability. 💡📈 Respect to all those who are already thinking about the future today!

@Cype Playing poker with play money is only half as much fun, isn't it? That's exactly how I see it with high-priced shares: the appeal and the learning experience grow when real values are at stake. Inspiration and the courage to think big - that's my approach. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. 😉💸 #AufLock #Grogreat-opportunities-great-thinking

Exactly 🙏 For me, all the money from my birthday(s) and other things ended up in TechETFs and was switched to WELT ETFs after doubling. This will continue to be saved monthly. In addition, individual stocks that are of interest. And otherwise a lot of time and communication 😁

I don't know how old your children are, but I think the book The Richest Man in Babylon is a good place to start. It's not that difficult to write and quite exciting.
