Danish withholding tax at Scalable Capital

$NOVO B (+10.5%) Hi everyone,

I wanted to find out whether any of you have experience with withholding tax on Danish shares (e.g. Novo Nordisk) held in a Scalable Capital custody account.

Is the withholding tax withheld in full and does it have to be reclaimed afterwards, or is it automatically deducted?

Many thanks in advance for your experience!

Since I'm also dealing with the topic and the country today: Denmark is quite easy.

Upload the proof (dividend payment incl. tax - should be available automatically from the broker) and registration certificate and you're done.

Denmark levies a withholding tax of 27%.
Of this, 15 % is creditable.
The remaining 12% must be reclaimed from Denmark.

@Keineui I can confirm that it's pretty easy.

@Keineui If I do this now, does it also apply to future dividends like the one in March?
Is there a minimum amount above which it is only worth doing this, as costs are incurred?

@Fred999 I think that only applies retroactively
In Denmark you have 27% withholding tax. 15% of this is credited here in Germany. You can get the missing 12% back. The question is whether it's worth the effort. I have 100 Novo in my custody account and leave the few euros to the Danish state.

In my case, the 27% withholding tax was withheld, but 44% of it is apparently reclaimable, but I don't know if it is automatically credited when I sell.
