Came across an interesting post on Twitter.

Short version: IB (Investment Banking, M&A specifically) Analyst salaries, bonuses & hours worked at a wide variety of investment banks.

Split between Bulge Bracket banks (BB, T1) and T2, T3, T4 banks. Elite boutiques are also included. A good overview where, who, what earns & how much one works.

Well, what's the point of this salary if you probably have to pay incredibly high rents and work 80 hours a week. I know a few people who were at Goldman and described the atmosphere as very positive, but after a few years it was enough for them. It would be interesting to see how much hedge funds (especially quantitative), VCs etc. pay.

@KapriolenCapital Unfortunately I don't have any figures. I only know that quantitative hedge funds pay a lot. If you do an internship at D. E. Shawn & Co, for example, you get 13k as a trader. As a quant about 15k. Source: own experience
