Because today is Sunday there is another "points king from my depot "

$TDG (+0.84%)

TransDigm is still in a 2-year sideways movement.

Looking at the 10-year chart, however, we can see that this consolidation could soon come to an end.

Despite the long consolidation, the share was still attractive due to the high special dividend.

I like the good but still rising EBIT margin.

Due to the high number of points 14/15 in the Traderfox Robustness Checkthe share is also good for BUY & HOLD investors.

In addition, it was able to bear market 2020 with an annual performance of +10,51 % as a hedge.

Ladies and gentlemen, the next bear market is sure to come. Do you think the share is a good hedge?

🎯 1. special dividends instead of regular dividends

  • TransDigm pays irregular, very large special dividends ("special dividends").
  • These are typically paid every few yearsdepending on:
  • free cash flow
  • leverage targets
  • capital market conditions
  • Acquisition pipeline

Examples from the past (for classification):

  • 2023: USD 35 per share
  • 2021: USD 18.50 per share
  • 2019: USD 30 per share
  • 2016: USD 24 per share

These distributions are often several percentage points in double digits in relation to the share price.

📌 3. why TransDigm uses this model

TransDigm is an extremely highly cash-flowing, high-margin company with:

  • Pricing power
  • Aftermarket dominance
  • Recurring revenues

Management uses:

  • Leverageto achieve excess returns
  • Special dividendsto distribute excess capital
  • Share buybacksif the valuation appears attractive

Regular dividends would limit flexibility.

📈 4 What does this mean for investors?

  • No predictable dividends
  • But potentially huge cash events
  • Often taxable Return on capitalwhich lowers the acquisition cost basis
  • Very attractive in the long term for investors who like special distributions

The dividend 2023 to about over 4% if I have seen this correctly. Do the 2-digit percentages refer to earlier years when the share price was much lower?

It's great that you've also included the figures for the last two years in your presentation. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Great analysis, thanks. But I would have preferred not to have seen it💀 As you know, this stock haunts me..... I'm still torn between the two. Everything looks great with the share but it's just not going according to the motto the trend is your friend 😑. Which shares are currently on your WL. For me it's Novo, the trend could change now, what do you think? And what's also interesting is $CAT regarding Greenland. Otherwise I'm at a loss as I don't have much time to inform myself at the moment, then I always read your posts and can't make up my mind 🧑‍🦯🧑‍🦯 Lg 😊

Oh my dear, to hear from you again. Just leave a like while you're reading. Then I'll know that you're still doing well. Thank you for your high praise. Which sector and country are you currently looking in?
••

So, now I've searched through your last posts of the last three weeks and liked them all, you really deserve it. From now on, whenever I read something from you, I like that you know I'm still alive 🙂‍↕️

Sector I am free, I don't care about the sector, it has to be interesting and have a nice return. And land, America and Europe, unless you have a "tenbagger" from Asia where you think, "I have to knock it out" 🔬

@MrStonkss
It's also a bit difficult at the moment because a lot of things have already gone very well.
For example, Frequency Electronic $FEIM where I got involved. Or Gilat $GILT. The last company I joined was Kawasaki $7012. Otherwise $CAMX and Mirum $MIRM

@Tenbagger2024 Thank you, yes as you say they have all gone very well.....

How do you see a crash in the near future? So a serious one? I'm absolutely the opposite of crash prophets, because I'm 90% invested myself now so I hope none comes haha. How are you positioned?
••
profile image
@MrStonkss
If nothing special happens, I see less of a crash. But I expect a correction in March and April
