Nice amusing post about us individual shareholders, and of course the statistics prove you right. I also enjoy finding the sure-fire stock that will make me rich ;-). But there is also a rational reason for not simply putting everything into the World ETF, and not even having a core ETF. In my stock selection, I simply concentrate on the top performers that are also in the World ETF and leave out the gray ones ... I should actually achieve a better return in the long term ... at least if it weren't for the statistics ... On that note: Merry Christmas to you too.
