Dividends - Classics

Greetings,

My girlfriend has got me thinking about dividend shares again. To be honest, dividends motivate me a lot.

What do you think? Should I expand my portfolio with solid dividend stocks like $O (-0.16%) or should I $MC (-0.77%) buy more in order to lower the purchase price accordingly. With $NKE (-0.09%) for the time being and hope for better times.

The aim is to have as clear a portfolio as possible. As a core I have the $VWRL (-0.81%) and I'm very happy with it. Nevertheless, I'm currently very keen to add a few solid dividend stocks.

Of course, I am also open to other tips and advice.

Best regards and have a nice evening!

By the way, I'll attach my portfolio again. Unfortunately, the transferred data is not quite right.

How old are you? If "my girlfriend" indicates a younger age, then tell your girlfriend that (dividend-paying) grandpa thinks you should stop with the dividend shares. And even if she hopes that the dividends will result in an accessory from $MC for her 😇that won't be enough to significantly boost the share price. In these times, I don't think the luxury argument really works. Besides, you already have a few nice dividend payments, keep saving your core and run the rest. Speaking of running, a pair of jogging shoes from $NKE is always included in the dividends and running keeps you fit and healthy. If she doesn't want that, then for God's sake a candlelight dinner from Mäcces

I'm 37 years old and she's not hoping for an accessory from $MC 😁 My ETF only yields something every quarter. You don't think much of shares like $O? Oh yes, we're both fit. 😂

@Radballer I myself have a large position in $O which yields a reliable return every month, but the weak dollar means it is shrinking continuously and if the orange man across the pond gambles and interest rates don't go down significantly, I'm no longer convinced by the investment. I'm speculating on a temporary interest rate cut(s) towards the end of the year and a corresponding positive impact on the share price, then I'll probably get out before the inflation scenario takes hold. However, if Trumpi makes reasonable deals, then I'll consider staying in.
