In any case, an e-car that the average earner can afford

Nicht schlecht, optisch und auch der Preis.

It doesn't really appeal to me visually, but the price is totally fine. 👍

In my opinion, it can/could be something, but as you write: far too late!

Unfortunately, this is just an unfinished study. I briefly checked the Car Maniac - there was nothing to see apart from the study and a few woulda, coulda, shoulda.

So we're probably talking about 2028. The ID2, for example, was announced two years ago and is still a long way off.

You can get the Hyundai Inster now.
The Kia EV2 will be here in a few months.

🤷‍♂️

Doesn't turn me on at all 😄
Will be another straw: 250km range (30kw). Have fun with it in winter.
Suitable at most for shorter distances in city traffic, if at all.
And if the heat pump and recuperation are not directly included in the basic equipment, then the €20,000 won't work either.
I would never drive an electric car without it.

@TheDenbo Don't draw conclusions about others from yourself. I'm moving house with my girlfriend soon and would have a 40km commute. Something like this would be a nice idea to make the journey more comfortable. Sufficient for many distances. There would probably also be a more expensive version for more range. But first let's see what actually happens.

Sorry, but Hyundai, BYD, Kia, ... were all faster.

This thing is a dud at this price.

@Tobiwankenobi500 But Kia and Hyundai only start at 25k

@Angstundbange But here in Germany - Asia and the US is where the money is made
profile image
They only start at 25k, correct. But you can buy them now and the battery is bigger. Renault wants to introduce a Twingo for 20k this year, which will also be built in Europe. So it's all possible today, if you want it.

@MineraLogik absolutely unattractive here... Purchase is a joke compared to other countries (see ID3 imports to GER from Asia!)

Electricity too expensive (unless you have photovoltaics)...

@Tobiwankenobi500 VW has banned ID3 re-imports from Asia. And where is money earned in the USA, please? How high is the net margin? The only ones you make money with are the Porsche models. But they don't even come close to the 40k net profit for the GT3 in Germany.
