Constellation Software: One of the best sales charts ever?

Constellation Software $CSU (+0%) is one of the top companies on my watch list with one of the best sales charts I have ever seen. Do you have the company on your radar?

Even Salesforce $CRM (-1.08%) , Shopify $SHOP (-1.52%) or Crowdstrike $CRWD (+1.2%) are sweating...

This is what happens when the founder (Mark Leonard) is still CEO. A great compounder that should continue to benefit from AI.

@Tenbagger2024 The maximum drawdown in the last 20 years was less than 30%. One could even think about a long-term leverage trend support here. With an EV/EBIT of less than 40-44x, they are on my buy list, currently at just under 52x.

@Tenbagger2024 As long as Mark Leonard is at the helm, I would sign that.

would be a stock to pick up in a bear market and then leave behind. In other words, a return to 200 weeks, especially at 2700 CAD.

@Dirty30 At an EV/EBIT of 40-44x I think they are fair, at 36-40x they are cheap and at below 36x I would think about selling my organs. Maximum drawdown at less than 30% and that in over 20 years.

@thewolfofallstreetz can also be seen from the PEG of 1.2. If we now measure the distance to the 200 week, then we would have a PEG of less than 1.0 at the 200. So that works out well with our calculation 😎

In the savings plan for over a year.

Incidentally, it is one of the very few shares that has not closed a single year with losses for more than 10 years.

@Mister_ultra Smart guy ;-) That's a crazy statistic. Too bad Mark Leonard is so reserved and you can only watch so much of him to build confidence and gain conviction - however, the numbers and consistency over such a long time speak for themselves.

what are they selling?

@leveragegrinding They buy small and medium-sized software companies that are active in specific niche markets, e.g. healthcare, industry & manufacturing or utilities. The focus is on specialized software companies that are often market leaders in their respective fields. After the purchase, the companies are held permanently and continued to be managed on a decentralized basis. The profits are then reinvested in new acquisitions. The company has been managed by Mark Leonard for 30 years.

@leveragegrinding Top company, the LMVH of the IT industry. Has been growing constantly organically and through clever acquisitions for years, as theWolfofallstreetz has written. Too expensive for me, but unlikely to get any cheaper in the coming years. Sales, earnings and cash flow continue to rise according to forecasts.
