$PGE (+4.38%) ’s renewable energy company (PGE Energia Odnawialna) has signed today two new agreements with Enea Operator. They will provide a special service called Interventional Reactive Power Regulation from two of their wind farms: Rybice and Resko II.
Wind farms normally produce electricity, but they can also help keep the power grid stable, this new service lets the wind farms dynamically adjust reactive power when the grid operator needs it.
This agreement will create extra income for PGE’s wind farms (on top of selling normal electricity) !
