Is the apple really sour?

$MAIN (-0.54%) seems to know only one direction at the moment. Upwards. The €60 mark has been cracked and if I look at its popularity, this will certainly not be the end.

Not really nice for me, who caught a nice entry price of €39 but unfortunately didn't make any additional purchases.

As I'm a fan of dividends, I'm now annoyed by the small amounts in Main.

I would like to gradually get to the point where I receive at least €10 per distribution. Exceptions prove the rule. 3M and TSMC will not be topped up.

So be it. So far I've only made individual purchases, but now that Smartbroker's savings plans are also free, I'm switching. There are more important things at the moment than putting a lot of money into the portfolio every month anyway.

So let's get to the savings plans.

Right now $MAIN (-0.54%) I'm a bit ambivalent about it. I'm ruining my nice equity, but it's still one of the horses I'm betting on.

That's the sour apple I'm biting into.

Any opinions?

My purchase price is just under €38 and the savings plan is running. I don't see any major problems.
For the monthly dividend, I have high savings plans for $MAIN and $O 👍🏻

@PatienceBeatsGreed I don't see any problems there either. It's just a shame that there's not even a real dip downwards.

@dirko68 you'll be buying it through the savings plan anyway 👍🏻

I wanted to get in and missed it. Figures are coming soon, maybe there will be a bigger DIP then :) Currently far too expensive...

I feel the same way xD I'm also at about 39€ EK
Missed the dip in August as it would have been worth it again at just under €41.
I've been waiting for it to fall again ever since.

At least I'm in at $O, I just read earlier that the dividend will be raised again. 😁

@Acanis23 yo, that makes me happy too. I've also set up a savings plan to build up further.

I also have a savings plan on it

@Multibagger Savings plan is the magic word. I have to get used to it first. To these small steps.
Yes, it's normal when you have long-lived shares....iwann the EK just goes up 😅because you buy more ... but I wouldn't worry about it.

@Coyote980 Well, I'm not really worried about it. I just wanted to post something. The whole thing is great fun and that's very important to me.

@dirko68 no, I didn't mean you directly 😉👍🏽...
I was just being general 😀
Well, either your outlook is positive, then buy. Then a tiny position at the beginning was the mistake. Otherwise, the higher ek don't matter if you think it will continue to go up.

Or not, then sell a small position and place it somewhere else.

@Madhatter5566 the 'tiny position' was not one for me at the time. The money is only available to a limited extent. In fact, I attach more importance to dividends than to rising share prices. An absolute fail for you, of course. Could already read elsewhere what you think of dividends 😁
@dirko68 What do I think of dividends?

I just mean that dividends are not a miracle cure and do not trigger compounding per se. Nor should they be a selection criterion per se. But Main is doing well overall. So ok as an investment.

i also think it's amazing how much $MAIN has gained,....but $HTGC and $ARCC also went up well

@BockaufDividenden I still have them both on my list. Later.
