IREN just a Bitcoin miner or much more?

$IREN (-1.65%)
$NVDA (-7.3%)

attachment

$NVDA (-7.3%) Nvidia CEO: "Every data center of the future will be power-limited. Your revenues will be power-limited."

The $6.50 price will look so favorable by the end of the year.

We have a P/B ratio close to 1 here

Wall Street sees this as a pure $BTC (+2.47%) miner and you should be aware of the volatility caused by Bitcoin. But the transformation into one of the most powerful players in the data center sector is really exciting and a deal with a hyperscaler is only a matter of time.

Data centers, AI, alternative energies, real estate in promising locations, all future trends.

  • 600MW power secured for SW 2

- > 500 acres ~28 miles from 1.4GW SW 1 & ~39 miles from Abilene

- 2.75GW total power now secured in West Texas

- Scale, time-to-power, fiber connectivity and low latency strongly position $IREN (-1.65%) sites for growing data center demand

(@IREN_LTD from x)

Who else has been looking at the company and how do you see the prospects?

(dilution of shares etc. I am aware of everything, but a price I am willing to pay for growth)

@Semos25 I agree, there are so many trends at play here and the capacities in the data center area will be needed. It will take time to build up, colocation deals will make more sense and be more cost-effective for hyperscalers. Takeover fantasy also exists, whereby voting rights of the shares lie strongly with the founders, making it rather unlikely could become a really big data center ride. Let's see how it develops, but it is also the strongest and most effective miner.

@BamBamInvest Will they be able to assert themselves? In the long term, I think something will happen. Can you tell me why it has corrected like this?

@Semos25 It's not about enforcement, you have to have the capacity, it's about network contracts, locations, services, availability, outage mechanisms, etc. You will need capacities and then you will look where you can get something and what it will cost you. And solar energy , hydro, wind energy is usually cheaper . (Generally speaking ) what has not corrected ? 😂 it's a small cap , it's also a bitcoin miner and that's how it finances itself . The whole sector was dragged down, as was Bitcoin, and $IREN was hit even less hard anyway. ✌️

@BamBamInvest thanks for all the information. It all sounds very good 👍

@BamBamInvest would you go in with everything or in installments

@Semos25 well I'm already inside and in the minus , the question is superfluous , but should also do your own research . Can go down further but also up quickly .

@BamBamInvest What is your EK? I was looking for companies that have something to do with renewable energy anyway. This one appealed to me. Top in the long term. Thanks for the analysis.

@BamBamInvest What was your EK?

@BamBamInvest Sounds good, still have €3 more to go... >40% down.

Hi, but do you see the company as a growth stock or simply speculation on Bitcoin or for Data Center.
Because a P/B ratio for growth stocks is rather secondary, isn't it? So an undervaluation. You'd have to ask why it's so low.

@Joris both, at least in the short term, as the price would of course also benefit from Bitcoin due to mining if one assumes rising prices. I'm also aware of the P/B ratio, it just illustrates the value .

@BamBamInvest with the KBV wasn't meant to be a hate or anything. More of an observation. Below 1 is undervalued, I just wonder why. Because Bitcoin has crashed?
profile image
@Joris I didn't understand it that way either, because everything has crashed, small caps even more, Bitcoin miners anyway and $IREN mines Bitcoin and finances itself with it, but doesn't hold it on its balance sheet like some other companies. The correction of Bitcoin is of course not helpful here. But you have to take a closer look at the company, there are very good analyses here on x.

@Joris A great analysis without advertising if you want to take a closer look at the company:

The risk/reward potential here is very good in my opinion. But everyone has to decide for themselves.

Thanks for the article. I've never heard of this share before, but it all looks very promising. Are you invested in the company and if so, how many shares?
profile image
@der_Don can be seen in the portfolio, everyone should make up their own mind.
profile image
i see you have freed up a lot of cash. please don't say for this share, but for others?
profile image
@Ji_hyun I have not released any cash

@BamBamInvest Don't lie to me, my dear. You're down from twelve positions to seven and I think profits have shrunk too, but even if there was no partial selling, five stocks are gone. Where is the money?
profile image
@Ji_hyun in SOFI, just don't let anyone tell you otherwise
profile image
@Ji_hyun I'm not lying, I've also commented on the companies I have in my portfolio and reduced the positions. I no longer have any cash (unfortunately)

I can't understand why #nvidia only offers the DGX SPARK with 128GB RAM. Well, actually I can understand it, because more RAM, e.g. 512GB as with M3 Ultra Mac Studio, would mean more local LLMs and therefore fewer cloud users. But that wouldn't have a negative effect on Nvidia's data center business, at least in the medium term.
