@SATNL I defined a custom scoring system (Patito Score 🦆see my pinned post) to rank quality, earnings, debt, and value. Then I combine that score with a Buffett-style grade for business strength. If the stock scores as fundamentally strong, reasonably priced, and the rest of my due diligence checks out I initiate a small position.
I started with a pool of 2500 stocks based on a screener for US, Canada, UK, Japan and European markets. I now run my scoring system a few times a week to review any changes and with some excel it narrows down to a list of candidates where I do a deeper due diligence. Every now and then I’ll manually add stocks to the scoring system (when they get mentioned here for example) and review them.
