First distribution from MAIN

Something cool happened today - my very first distribution from Main Street Capital arrived! 💵

Sure, it's only a small amount, but that's just how it starts. $MAIN (-0.07%) pays every month and invests in real companies - and now I'm in.

For me, it's like a little proof: the position is growing, the cash flow is starting, and at some point this mini-amount will turn into something really big. Step by step, payment by payment. 📈🌱

"Every cent is a building block - and your financial foundation is made up of many small building blocks." 💪📈

Congratulations to you. 🎊 It doesn't matter whether the dividend is big or small. The important thing is that you stick with it and keep at it. It's not always uphill, sometimes it's downhill. But don't despair and always see it as an opportunity 🙂 Keep at it and the payout will soon be bigger 🎊👌

Sold put options on MAIN. Just running too hot at the moment 🤷‍♂️ I'm happy to take the premiums until I see lower prices. 😊 But I also have a small position 👍

Many people, especially young people, are currently in the stock market. There will soon be a huge downer. Let's see if everything is still as "cool" then.

@Hubert1976 A crash is part of the stock market, what's wrong with that? But of course you can talk everything down and always scare young people 😒

The things you know. But I think it would be cool if I could buy more at a cheaper price 😎

The stock market also needs beginners... even if many people still see it as a devil's work. After rain comes sunshine. Keep at it, time is always running out for beginners who have the time. I only started 2 years ago at the age of 60 and have no regrets, except that I would have trusted the stock market a little earlier. I recommend it to everyone, complaining is also part of the business here. Have a nice WE everyone

What exactly has to happen for a huge downer to occur?

Pandemic? -> the stock market only took a short-term view

Crazy president in the USA? -> only made the stock market twitch

War in Europe? Yes, short drowdown -> nobody on the stock market is itching anymore

World War 3? Then the stock market probably doesn't itch me anymore

The world is hardened. There will be declines to some extent, but the recovery will become faster and faster. Technical progress is getting faster and faster. But there will always be crash prophets ...
