$BTC (-1.57%)
ETFs already in the top 10 of all ETFs of the last 10 years!

Over 2,000 ETFs have been launched in the last 10 years.

Both the $IBIT from Blackrock and the $FBTC from Fidelity have already made it into the top 10 ETFs of the last 10 years! And this despite the fact that they are only 10 months old...

BTW: How do things actually look with the $ETH (-2.15%) ETFs?

After the launch on July 23 this year, ETF inflows of no less than -572 million $ in the books🤣

And yet absolutely nothing happens with the course 🤷

@DonkeyInvestor At least we had new ATHs🤷‍♂️
But yes, if you look at the inflows, we should actually be much higher. Most purchases are made OTC and therefore have no direct effect on the price. Sales, on the other hand, are mostly executed on the spot market and do have an impact on the price

@stefan_21 and yet the OTC coins have to come from somewhere. It can't be that they have all stashed them for years and thought to themselves "when ETFs come in 5 years, I'll sell everything OTC!"

@DonkeyInvestor Absolutely. For the most part, of course, these are the miners. But also other whales.
But even the miners would have to run out of Bitcoin at some point.

@DonkeyInvestor Just had a quick google: The OTC desks are full gefüllt🤷‍♂️ it will take time to buy them all out.

@DonkeyInvestor I only have enough for 100k right now... I'll have to wait for the Christmas bonus for the rest🤣

@stefan_21 It's already too late until Christmas

@DonkeyInvestor I'll get that at the end of November... December should be enough for my 100k$ bet to work out this year🤪😂

It still blows my mind how people praise BTC ETFs. The whole point of crypto is to be decentralized. I don't see why you would want to pay an extra fee and extra liquidity risks to hold something that was meant to be safe and personal

@F4llenAngel There is a simple answer:
It's the institutions. If you are a company, hedge fund, pension fund, etc. and you want to get Bitcoin exposure, you don't want to worry about custody. Which person(s) should have access to the seed phrase? What if someone runs off with it? You could use concepts like multisig wallets, but that gets too technical for these people.

@stefan_21 I get that, but lately most inflows are actually from Retail investors. These ETFs seems to be just another way of Blackrock and big investment firm to get extra income

when lambo?

@DonRacletto only when the price moves in line with the ETF inflows🤪 unfortunately there are also enough sellers. Otherwise we would have been over the 100k mark long ago
