NexteraEnergy Q4 2024 figures

Quick question, today Nextera Energy published its quarterly $NEE (+2.37%) quarterly figures and I had a quick look and Quatr says that expectations were massively undershot. Nevertheless, the reaction was very positive, do you know why?

When something like this happens, you can always assume that the outlook is very positive.

If it's the other way around (figures are good but the share goes down), it's usually the case that the outlook is poor.

That's a rough guideline for now. I don't really know how it is in this case.

I went out with a loss before the figures, thinking that the outlook under Trump would fuel the downward trend. Well, I was wrong 😉

@Hotte1909why is it fueled? If I look at stargate, the energy sector should ultimately also benefit from the enormous AI boom. 🤔

@paul_finesse_ No. Take a look at Nextera's current projects. That's exactly what Trump doesn't want.
@Hotte1909 and yet during Trump's first term in office, the share price of $NEE has INCREASED by 150%, while oil and gas suppliers have all tended to fall.
The economy is not interested in Trump. They buy the cheapest energy - renewables.
