📍 New in the depot: Keyence 🇯🇵

I put €500 of Keyence in my portfolio - deliberately as a Japan play.

🔧 Market leader for sensors & automation

📈 High margins, strong growth

💡 Profits from AI-driven manufacturing & Industry 4.0 in the long term

Japan's risks? Put into perspective by high domestic debt - the central bank holds over 50% of government bonds

➡️ Long-term defensive & opportunity-rich at the same time.

I've also heard some positive things from AAA guest Thomas Rappold that they are becoming more profitable through AI and are also investing a bit.

Things have been heading south at #keyence since December 2021. Why do you think that will change?

@Angstundbange because in a world where more and more Ki is being used in industry, keyence is essential and is by far the market leader and also has a moat. The key figures are very, very good and that's why I buy quality here. I don't know if and when the share price will turn, but I do know that it is a very good company.

@Derspekulant1 Then we'll be surprised. I'll stay on the sidelines.

@Derspekulant1 Ahsooo, no, I don't have to justify myself here. The decision from the index should actually give you enough food for thought, and if not, your problem. Just ETFs and Mag 7? What else do you want crypto or some other shit with P/E >100? Look at Japan's GDP growth over the last 20 years. But you know what, I agree with you the "discussion" here is really too stupid for me.
