@DonkeyInvestor interesting point of view. I agree about an all-inclusive hotel beach vacation. But if a vacation means discovering new cultures and landscapes, it is not pointless consumption, but also incredibly valuable for personal development.
Large companies want enlightened, open-minded people in key positions, as they interact with locations all over the world.
@DonkeyInvestor I also find that interesting, because in a world of constant change you are never really finished, even if it is perhaps professionally.
I understand that it's not worth the money, but definitely not as "pointless consumption". There are much more pointless things.
