Question about the Covered Call ETF

$QYLE (-0.69%) I have a question about this: The good performance is actually "wrong" for the ETF, it should always tend to 0% price performance in the long term if 11% is distributed via the option premiums.

Is the outperformance here currently only due to the euro/dollar exchange rate? The curve correlates strongly with the development of the FX rate since September.

I think there is also an increase in the popularity of this title. I have seen advertisements in various places. (DivvyDiary, FinanceNet-Zero)

I would also like to put a lot more money into it but as long as I don't know 100% how the ETF is taxed (Austria is a bit stupid) it will stay at 10 units :(

@Rick hmmm... I would have thought that there is a dividend, as in any other case. But I don't know the Austrian tax law.
In DE, I regularly pay my taxes on the dividend and, if applicable, on a profit when I sell...
But I'm not planning to sell; I'm a dividend collector 😎

@Atacama It depends on whether it is a reporting fund or not. And even if it is, it may be that AIF applies, then in addition to the normal Kest there is a distribution-like income, then the taxation is 47% and more. This happened to me with the US variant. Also applies in Austria to Reits and BDs and what they are all called 😢
@Rick 😕..oh how stupid 😔

@Rick It's really bad, all the taxes on securities in Austria. I thought DE was already ripping people off, but Ö tops even Germany.

If you're a private citizen, you should leave Austria

@ScorpionfromBW I plan to do this as soon as my dividends reach € 2200 net per month ;)

@Rick but I think that will take some time for you. But I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

@ScorpionfromBW I already have €1280/month

@Rick ok great. Then hopefully you'll make it until 2030 according to your goal. I could already retire if I put most of my money into $QYLE or something similar. Who knows what else I'll come up with

@Rick Where do you want to emigrate to? Hopefully not to Germany 🤣

@ScorpionfromBW lol never... Greece

In Portugal, it was advertised by one of the most famous content creators for investment as the ETF with the highest dividend yield, so that also could help on why the value is getting up
