What happened to $HEIO (+0.2%) yesterday? Stock fell almost 7%. Did I miss anything?

I read their released report about the first half year. Even the chairman stated;

"We delivered a solid first half of the year, organically growing net revenue (beia) 6% and operating profit (beia) 12.5%. The Americas region stood out, as portfolio mix and major ongoing saving initiatives resulted in a strong operating profit improvement, notably in Brazil and Mexico."

I've been thinking about selling. Right now these are a steal 🤫

EBIT growth came in at 12.5% vs consensus 13.2%, organic beer volume growth of 2.1% vs consensus of 3.4%
"Underwhelming results from Heineken, with almost every line of the P&L missing company-compiled expectations," RBC analysts say in a note
They add that while the guidance was narrowed/upgraded to 4-8%, consensus is already at the top end of this at 8.2%
The miss on consensus' EBIT forecast is "particularly disappointing", Barclays adds, pointing to the positive management's commentary at a recent conference
"The new EBIT guidance of 4-8% growth is underwhelming, and is below where current forecasts are" - Barclays

Today I looked at the $HEIA (-0.59%) and $CARL A (-1.53%) shares.

The setback of the $HEIA (-0.59%) share brought me closer to the brewery groups. After a little research, I had bought 8 shares of the $HEIO (+0.2%) purchased. It should be noted that I opted for the holding company here. I considered the lower P/E ratio and the slightly higher dividend to be more advantageous.

Perhaps someone here has a different opinion on this and would like to share it with regard to the holding company and the actual "core company".

I also look forward to lively discussions about the worthwhile nature of investing in brewery groups.

I would then like to ask another question.

With the $CARL B (-1.07%) and $CARL A (-1.53%) shares, I naturally noticed the voting rights.

How much would this variable affect you as an insignificant small shareholder?

In my opinion, I would take the share that is currently more favorable or has performed better historically.

My man! Do you have any idea what led to the dip in $HEIO ? I noticed $HEIA fell, but also without big reasons?

I am currently on a vacation tour in Vietnam.🇻🇳

As an interested investor, of course I am watching which companies are active here.

Gladly your observation or remark in the comments 😁

Especially in Vietnam it is interesting mMn. (Politics, history, geographic location).

Political: Socialist Republic with one party state (Communist Party of Vietnam).

Nearly 100Mio inhabitants

GDP per capita 4500$ (estimate for 2023)

Now for my observations so far.

In general, the Vietnamese are very busy and friendly people. Everyone has something to offer and always a friendly face. there is no begging even in the megacities like hanoi or HCMC. instead, food, souveniers or other things are sold from the moped.

The construction sector is booming, especially in the big cities and tourist regions. Hotels are being built from the ground. Office towers and new residential complexes are under construction. i could not identify any construction companies i know. The VinHomes of $VIC (the largest conglomerate in Vietnam). From VinHomes we have seen min 5 geoße housing projects under construction. (we are talking about thousands of apartments in one project).

But the machines in the construction industry come to a large extent from China/Japan/Korea. only logical. my favorites from $CAT (-2.91%) are unfortunately missing here.

Automotive: as with construction machinery, cars also come from the countries mentioned. toyota and hyundai strong. to mention is VinFast. a Vietnamese brand. Founded in 2017, they make really fancy bodies. owner is $VIC

But the streets are dominated by over 90 million motor scooters. $MBG (-3.33%) or $VOW (-2.5%) or $BMW (-3.91%) are rarely seen.

Consumer goods: in one of the few supermarkets that we have entered so far, I looked at various products that you need every day: Toothpaste, shower gel, detergent - I touched 3 products. all were (by chance) from $ULVR (+0.62%). The toothpaste from $COLG I deliberately did not take.

The 3 best selling water brands are lavie ($NESN (-0.22%) ), Dasani ($KO (+1.1%) ) and Aquafina ($PEP (+1.38%) ).

In addition, we have $MDLZ (+1.41%) , $HEIO (+0.2%) seen

Telecommunications is occupied by Viettel and Mobiphone and vinaphone. mobile phone masts everywhere. also in rural areas well developed.

Internet in general extremely good. in every hotel so far we had very good WIFI. various speed tests showed more than 100MBit down/up.

We also looked at the prices of $AAPL (+0.65%) products. e.g. iPhone 14pro costs about 1150€. not much difference to europe. although the purchasing power is much lower. that's why monthly leases are offered first in the electromarket here.

very sporadically you can find "media mart", looks like it also belongs to $CEC (+0.81%) belong to.

in the hotel sector, 2 things stand out. the big international hotel groups like $MAR (+1.62%) or $HLT (+1.96%) and $AC (+1.37%) are represented at the important locations. also $VIC is getting involved here again.
