Today I would like to introduce you to a fairly new ETF IE000ISS8DB2 (+0.22%)that has been available since August 2025: the Xtrackers MSCI World Small Cap UCITS ETF 1D (ISIN IE000ISS8DB2, WKN DBX0WH, ticker XSWD).
🔸 Objective: To track the MSCI World Small Cap Index - i.e. global small caps from developed markets.
🔸 Costs: approx. 0.25 % p.a.
🔸 Appropriation of earnings: Distribution (dividends are received)
🔸 Current status: since launch, the performance (total return) is around +6.44%
My assessment:
For investors with a long-term horizon and a higher risk appetite, the ETF is an exciting addition to classic large-cap funds or as an admixture to the classic 70/30 portfolio. Especially if you are already heavily invested in the large-cap sector, this ETF can be a useful addition to your portfolio.
⚠️ As the fund is very new, statements on stability and long-term performance should (still) be treated with caution. But it is worth keeping an eye on!
What is your opinion of the ETF?
