Schaeffler Stock Forum

The Schaeffler Group $SHA increased its revenue by 3.2 % to EUR 16.3 billion in 2023.

Adjusted EBIT rose by 13.3 % to EUR 1.19 bn, corresponding to a margin of 7.3 %.

Net profit fell from EUR 557 million to EUR 310 million due to the Vitesco takeover.

Shareholders are nevertheless to receive an unchanged dividend of EUR 0.45 per share.

Following the takeover of Vitesco, Schaeffler is aiming for significant revenue growth and an EBIT margin of between 6% and 9% in the current year.

I have been invested for a long time and will hold my shares for the long term.

Do you see potential in a merger between Schaeffler and Vitesco to catch up with the major German automotive suppliers (Bosch, ZF and Continental) in the medium term? Or is there more of a risk that Schaeffler will once again do itself no favors by taking over a competitor?

I have only been involved with shares for a few weeks and have no in-depth knowledge of the automotive industry.

The company has to get going at some point.

Low P/E ratio, well-behaved dividend and 2019 sales have already been exceeded.

The transformation of emobility is working.

Ceconomy ( $CEC1 ) - The group wants to expand with its Media Markt and Saturn brands and open 35 department stores. Group CEO Wildberger is pursuing the goal of becoming the first omnichannel platform that combines e-commerce and in-store retail. In doing so, he even wants to compete with Amazon ( $AMZ (-0.02%) ).
