Bit #offtopic :
I have reinvested my $NVDA reinvested my earnings - in $NVDA . Just a little differently.
My workstation is being renewed, the old one is now 5 years old and I still need expenses this year, the tax advisor said...
The RTX 4090 is absolutely sick, the thing weighs over 2kg. I will use it water cooled, it will be used for 3D rendering and Unreal Engine 5, that is my side hustle.
Yes, the salary adjustment is here! My net salary is going up by 3.5%. A small part will be eaten up by fixed cost increases (€16), and I was also able to reduce my provisions for reserves slightly. This means that virtually the entire increase is going into securities savings plans.
From February 1, €995 from my net salary will go into securities savings plans (previously: €920). On top of this, €75 from dividend reinvestments (approx. 23% above the annual average) will be added each month.
So I send €1,070 new euros to the stock market every month, which work hard for me. And recently I've also started to reduce costs through cashback (Payback, Shoop & Co.).
Imagine the supermarket paying a small part of the sum of one of your savings plans.
In months that pay out far more dividends than the €75, I leave a small amount for the poorer months and invest the rest. Of course, these sums are not taken into account and only become apparent in retrospect.
In any case, I'm very happy with these two figures: €995 investment from my net salary, €1070 in total. When I found my way out of unemployment in April 2020 and decided to invest, I would never have thought of such monthly sums. ☺️
Why am I writing this? Because I want to motivate others to make their money work for them instead of burning it [inflation]. The money you earn at work is working time that you will never get back.
But by investing, you buy back time in the future.
Because if, for example, interest and dividends flow to you in the future, you will have an additional income that will enable you to live more freely and independently. Think about it! If I can do it, so can you. Build up your wealth and your passive income!
The next step will be to further increase and diversify your income. Earning money and the stock market: I'm totally up for it! 😍
Goals and projects for 2024

-----------------
Long version:
I have given myself a little more time to set meaningful goals. At best, these should be measurable according to the SMART method and suit me personally in order to make progress in many areas.
However, I didn't just want to set myself goals that I would achieve once and which might then disappear into oblivion again.
As I've just read "The 1% Method" by James Clear, which is about establishing new habits and changing old ones, my goal now is to set up habits that will make life better in small, sustainable steps. And I'm also digging up something from the first COVID lockdown.
1. 💰Depot
Here we stick to the classic concept of goals.
➡️ [Target 🎯] Investment amount
I want to invest €15,000 this year from my net salary, reinvestment of dividends and any bonus payments. I'll take a look at the interim result at the end of June and if I'm on track, the target will be raised to €16,000 - €16,500.
➡️ [target 🎯] Dividends
My goal is to achieve at least €1,000 in dividends. With last year's total of €731, that should definitely be achievable.
2. 🏋🏼♂️ Health and fitness
This topic is fundamentally important to me. What's the point of having all that grit if I can't enjoy it? Maybe finance a place in a good retirement home?
➡️ [Habit 🔁] Exercise in the morning
Back in 2019, I got into the habit of exercising every morning at home thanks to YouTube for free. I've kept this up to this day. It has only been interrupted by illness or injury. I plan to increase my weekday sessions from at least 20 minutes to at least 30 minutes and at the weekend from at least 60 minutes to 75 minutes. In any case, I already manage the new minimum on some days and even exceed it at weekends.
➡️ [Habit 🔁] Going for a walk
During the second corona lockdown, I also got to know the "permanent home office". I was at home for a total of 2x 9 months without interruption during the affected years. This required new habits to compensate for the lack of exercise (commuting to work by bike or 50% on foot, 50% by train). I started going for walks in the evening after work and it immediately had the positive effect of clearing my head from work. I gave up this positive habit when I went back to the office in the second half of 2022. I will reintroduce this habit and implement it consistently. For me as a single person, this is 99% feasible.
➡️ [Habit 🔁] Nutrition
I stopped eating red meat during the first lockdown and became completely vegetarian in September 2021. It wasn't planned at all and simply came about because I didn't want to eat meat. Since 2020, I've been eating an intermittent fasting diet and I fast completely for up to a week up to four times a year. This gives me the opportunity to detox and adjust my eating habits. This will continue. This year I want to fast at least 3 times for a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 10 days.
3. 🧠 Spiritual well-being
What good is the healthiest body if the spirit is at the end?
➡️ [Goal 🎯] Mindset and contacts
Over the past few years, I have weeded out a lot of people from my circle as contacts, many of whom were simply not good for me and were tainted by whining and envy. My aim is to continue to make contact with people who are characterized by a positive mindset and who also want to make progress in life. Be it from the financial scene, other frugalists or minimalists. Getting in touch with "your peers" is simply a great feeling. The concrete goal here this year is to take part in a community meeting of frugalists and partly minimalists. I will continue to specifically avoid people who only drag you down. I'd rather have fewer high-quality contacts that have a positive effect.
➡️ [Habit 🔁] Reading
I also got into the habit of reading during lockdown. I've taken a liking to literature on finance and personal development. My mind is hungry for more material, but I don't set myself a specific number of books that I want to read each week. I don't think much of it. The habit that I continue to train myself is to simply read more every day before going to sleep. The mind should be fed regularly.
➡️ [Addition/Purpose🤗] Educate and further my education
Finally, I want to continue my professional and personal education. Professionally, I'm thinking about becoming a business administrator, but I'm not making it compulsory. Privately, I want to learn new things. Let's see, I can't really define that, so at the moment it remains a desire for further development.

The basic tax-free allowance will rise from €10,908 to €11,604 in the new year. This means that even wage and salary earners who do not receive an increase will have a little more net income from January.
How will you use the little bit extra? Will it be eaten up by cost increases or can you invest more?
In my case, part of it will be used for a rent increase, while another part will go into two small savings plans to increase the amount that I put into my retirement provision each month with shares and ETFs to protect myself against poverty in old age.
