The world's best and newest ASML machine for chip production is now located in Oregon at Intel. Intel will receive six of the first 10 High NA machines and will produce chips for Microsoft, Broadcom, Qualcomm, UMC and Amazon from 2025. Orders worth 15 billion dollars have already been secured. Apple, Nvidia and AMD could also become Intel customers in the future.
The price of this machine is 380 million dollars. The Twinscan EXE:5000 High-NA EUV machine from ASML is indeed absolutely huge. A total of 250 crates are needed to transport the machine, which weighs around 130,000 kilograms.
A cargo plane transported the container in the video from the Netherlands to Portland, Oregon, and then a truck delivered one of the tool's key components. It will take 250 ASML and Intel engineers about six months to fully install the machine.
Intel will use its Twinscan EXE:5000 lithography tool primarily to learn how to use the High-NA-EUV technology. The company plans to test the use of high-NA lithography with its Intel 18A process technology (but not for high-volume production) and eventually adopt it with its Intel 14A manufacturing process for high-volume production.
I bought 400 shares of Intel about a year ago. They are up 46% since then. How many Intel shares do you have in your portfolio? #intel

Intel turnaround 📉📈
-At the beginning of last year, following poor quarterly figures, Intel was the most hated stock in the Dow Jones with the worst ratings from analysts.
-I bought 400 Intel shares almost a year ago on 07.02.23 at €27.15 each for €10,861. Aktuell +48% / +5.191€
-This week Intel reported solid quarterly figures but disappointed on the outlook, so the stock was down 12% from its 52-week high.
•Ich werde Intel trotzdem halten und diese Entscheidung hier erklären und begründen.
-Critics often accuse Intel of being technologically behind, but the world's most advanced machine is now at Intel, not TSMC or Samsung.
-ASML's new High Numerical Aperture machines are so complicated and costly that only 10 can be produced per year. Sechs der ersten 10 Maschinen wird Intel bekommen.
Intel Gaudi AI accelerators are already in use at Amazon AWS, Hugging Face and Databricks. Der Nachfolger Gaudi 3 mit 5nm-Node kommt dieses Jahr. It has beaten Nvidia's H100 in tests. Intel is an AI stock, even if some people doubt it.
Intel has the ambitious goal of bringing five new nodes / production sizes onto the market in just four years, which would otherwise take 10 years. According to CEO Pat Gelsinger in December 2023, Intel is on schedule: "On track, baby!"
-Last quarter, Intel signed several new contracts with major customers. These included Alibaba Cloud, AT&T, Cisco, Dawn Phase 1, Google Falcon, Geely / Zeekr, Samsung Medison, UMC, Valens Semi and Verizon.
-Nvidia is also an Intel customer and uses dual Intel Xeon Platinum 8480C CPUs with 112 cores in its Nvidia DGX H100 systems.
Amazon, Qualcomm and Nvidia have already expressed their interest in future production at Intel. Intel will therefore be competing with TSMC and Samsung Electronics. On 21.02.24 other major customers such as Microsoft may be announced at this event. This could be positive for the share. However, all new factories will not be ready until 2026/2027. Intel is therefore still a stock only for very patient shareholders.
Intel enters the video games market. Intel Meteor Lake CPUs will be in the new MSI Claw A1M and One X Player X1 handheld consoles. AMD is already installed in the XBOX, Playstation and Steam Deck. Nvidia is at the heart of the Nintendo Switch.

Intel - shares hit a new 52-week high yesterday. +49% since the beginning of the year.
Intel was acquired on Wednesday by the investment firm Mizuho Securities on Wednesday as it sees improvements in the PC and data center markets.
Analyst Vijay Rakesh raised his rating for Intel shares from "Neutral" to "buy" and raised his price target from 37$ to 50$ (current price: 41$). He pointed out that the company is likely to launch "significant" new server products and a new foundry customer in the next six months. In addition, Rakesh expects the PC and data center markets to experience an "upswing" in 2024.
And as the upcoming demerger (IPO) of the Programmable Solutions Group will add further 17$ per share, and with 2025 likely to be a "key transition year" for Intel's foundry services business, the stock has an implied total of about 84$.
"Arm is now leveraging its state-of-the-art chip design on Intel 18A (Node) and achieving very good performance results with these designs," said Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger. "I want every licensee of Arm chip designs to become our foundry customer in the future. Therefore, the acquisition of Arm's [IP base] opens up many business opportunities for our foundry."
It could be that in the medium term Intel will present a new major customer every few months or weeks for whom Intel will then build chips such as TSMC and Samsung are doing now. Each time, the share price could then receive a boost.
Furthermore, no subsidy money has yet flowed from the US CHIPS Act. According to the Wall Street Journal Intel is the leading contender for the potential receipt of billion $ in U.S. government funding for secure microchip manufacturing facilities for military and intelligence applications.
Intel is currently up 39% in my portfolio.

Hello to all shareholders of #asml
What is your personal assessment of the current quarterly figures?
Outlook unchanged.
Incoming orders down.
Profit beat.
Share price reaction initially negative - now see "buy the dip"
Personally, I remain calm because after the record order intake at the end of 2023, a decline is only logical for me.
Especially as the outlook has been confirmed. The fact that the chip sector is normalizing is a healthy development for me.
Anyone have a different view? I would be interested to hear it.
Happy trading, ahoy!
Please advise/comment on my portfolio.
Busy planning my 2024 strategy.
I am 37 years old and started investing a year ago.
No debt, paid off mortgage and then started investing 3-4k per month.
Mainly ETFs and (discounted) shares from the company I am working for (ASML).
My goal is to reach 100k end of 2024 and long term goal is to retire early (around 50years old) with monthly 3k passive income (e.g. dividends).
Current strategy in my head for 2024:
or should I invest more in individual stocks iso ETFs?
