Industry knowledge!!!

Hello Community ,

another question 🙋🏿‍♂️.

Does anyone have any statistics 📊 or perhaps their own findings gathered over the years that show which sector "usually" performs worse? Regardless of the period (good times or bad times, even in times of crisis).

Best regards & have a nice weekend 👍🏽

Unfortunately, it only goes back to 2009 and is only the S&P500:

But it doesn't matter, as it has no significance for the future.

Take a look at the individual MSCI GICS sectors and how they have performed each year. Then write the "crises" next to them and you have your findings ;-) I have already done this for my own research

Banking, energy, mining, insurance, aviation underperform in the long term.
Software, healthcare, consumer outperforms

That could speak in favor of a World ETF, right?

What do you mean by your question?
Are you asking about the one specific industry that is always doing worse?
Or are you asking about specific criteria that have to be met for any industry to perform worse?
