When I read stories like this, I get a headache from thinking about it.

The internet has changed a lot of things. The world has become even more global.

And we are always on the lookout for the best bargain.

This cheap online store from China is breaking all records.

China has destroyed an entire industry (solar industry).
In order to keep up here, we would have to fight with the same weapons. In other words, production in labor camps, no unions and work below minimum wage.

Of course we have some of the highest electricity prices in Germany.
Doing without nuclear power was a mistake.
The big question is whether there is climate change?????
The majority of scientists clearly say YES.

Then relying on renewable energy is the right way to go. Of course Germany won't be able to save the world with this measure.
But it can be a role model.
Germany should not take this as the absolute marketing campaign.
It should be used to promote Germany as a business location.
Under the motto
Produce in Germany

A location where production is CO2 neutral. (In contrast to China where the electricity still comes from coal-fired power plants).

A location where production takes place under fair working conditions.

Buy Made in Germany.

Everyone complains about politics and I do it myself.
But I would be interested to know how many of you are politically active?
Everyone complains but nobody wants to get involved themselves.

This raises the question of whether Germany should support the ailing economy.
That can only be done with all our tax money and would ultimately mean a tax increase.
Which in turn would mean a huge discussion.

As a politician, you are driven by the voters. Unwelcome but perhaps necessary measures mean being voted out of office.
(Example: Schröder was voted out of office because of the necessary Harz reforms).

We shareholders and the stock market:
Are happy about layoffs and savings in companies.
Because it improves margins.
But we forget that these are fates and affect people who lose their jobs.

These are just thoughts that are running through my mind and I just want to share them with you.

A fisherman lies lazily on the beach in his hammock half the day and does nothing.
A man asks the fisherman who only catches so many fish in the morning to feed himself.

Hey fisherman, why don't you go out to sea and catch lots of fish. Then you can soon buy more boats.

The fisherman asks why should I and what do I get out of it?

Says the man: Then you'll have lots of employees and you won't have to do anything yourself and can lie in your hammock all day.

The fisherman says, but I'm already doing that.

Isn't that an example of how we are caught in a spiral because of our greed and our great hunger for commerce?

@Tenbagger2024 I see it the same way. Especially that you can have a big influence as a consumer. It's like elections. Of course, one vote alone does not bring about the big change, but together (here: across countries/globally) you are unmistakable.
