In Germany there was a tax reform (for investments) in 2018. This came about due to possible double taxation in foreign-managed ETFs, for example.
Since this reform, 30% of profits are now tax-free.
Example:
For a profit of €100..00 only €70.00 is taxed 😉

this 30% is valid only for etfs that contain more then 51% of stocks
